There’s something about Los Angeles and it’s sunsets,
it’s cotton candy skies.
An urban jungle covered in pastel paint,
with effervescence and it’s grace.
Where day’s end begins and turns to night’s beginning,
Then night’s end turns to day’s beginning.
A sight so sweet with all it’s might,
Its journey will shed illuminating light.
Where pinks meet blues and purples, too.
For, she is a masterpiece we bid adieu.
I wrote this simple poem about cotton candy skies on a flight from New York City to Los Angeles. Due to corona virus, I hopped on a plane earlier than anticipated and luckily made it back home before the pandemic worsened.
I really enjoyed this shoot taken on the rooftop of my former apartment in Downtown Los Angeles. There is something about LA and it’s sunsets that really hits the spot. Mother nature paints such beautiful Pantone color palettes.
I found this stunning fringe dress on sale at Zara. Unnoticeably, the dress is a bit large on me. I used to refrain from buying something if it wasn’t the right size, but later squashed this notion. If you feel good in it, that’s what matters plus I have a personal tailor (aka my mom), luckily.
The beaded fringe bag is Zara and the beige leather Chloe knock-off bag is GHC Lusso. The company reached out to me to collaborate and I loved the style of this bag. I wasn’t aware it was a Faux-oe when I chose it, until I later stumbled across the designer version in Italy at the Florence Outlets (The Firenze Mall). The detailing and the shape is chic, plus there are multiple ways to wear it.
The shoes are old ASOS and they have served me well over the years. I found the slim vintage silver belt belt at a super cool booth at the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk.
The art walk takes place on the second Thursday evening of every month. You can find some amazing treasures there, art or clothing. Highly recommend stopping by if you live or you are visiting Los Angeles.
And thanks for stopping by here.
