Finding a skincare routine that works for you can be a long and daunting endeavor. I have sensitive skin, so it’s been difficult to find products I like that also work towards improving multiple skin issues. The biggest problems I face are acne, oiliness, and dryness. Today, I feature four products that have worked wonders on my combination skin.
Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel: This treatment by Amore Pacific comes in powder form and is very effective for removing dry, flaky skin. Pour a small heap into your palm, add a little water, and massage between your hands until it suds. Apply to your face and rub in small, circular motions before rinsing with warm water. This “peel” sloughs off all the dead skin and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I recommend using it once a week.
Caudalie Vinosource Riche Intense Moisture Rescue Cream: This moisturizer is the answer to thirsty skin and can be used both day and night. It’s been difficult to find a moisturizer that works in tandem with my foundation as many tend to cause make-up to rub off by end of day. Caudalie products are great for sensitive skin because they are non-comedogenic and contain natural ingredients. Apply after cleansing your face in the evening and before you apply your primer or foundation in the morning.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Poresolution Clarifying Lotion: Although, the product says lotion, it’s actually just a toner. After washing make-up off your face, there’s almost always a trace of dirt or make-up leftover. Toners are perfect for removing the remaining residue and leave your skin feeling refreshingly clean. This product by Dr. Brandt has a fresh, minty scent and a delightful tingling sensation when applied to the skin.
Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk: There are several cleansers I enjoy using, but decided to feature this one by Caudalie. Since my skin has been dry lately due to the season change, I needed to switch my face wash up. I swear by Caudalie products, so I was positive this one would do the job. While it doesn’t completely remove eye makeup, it does an excellent job of feeding your skin with moisture and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth post wash.
While there are tons of products available to you, finding the ones that work for your skin type is key. My best recommendation for doing so is do your research, take recommendations from those with similar skin types, and buy and return! A series of trail and error allowed me to discover my routine, but in the end achieving healthy, glowing skin was worth the effort.
