Summer brought us the finest floral, fauna and foliage in fabric form. With detailed illustrations in striking color palettes, tropical prints were all the rage this season. You may have noticed endless palm tree patterns plastered on walls or displayed on pillows and phone cases. I mean, it is Fall now but that doesn’t mean my new phone cover from Sonix needs to match the season.

Another style to reminisce is the uber-sporty, yet super seductive mesh trend. I love mesh because it gives you a level of understated sexy by showing skin, but still being covered. I’m particularly partial to mid-length pencil skirts with short linings like the one seen below.

An unexpected twist in the fashion world and an ode to senior citizens: the mule trend. A youthful makeover on this classic silhouette featured stacked heels, stiletto heels, and even flats in lush textures and rich materials. Sometimes adorned with metal hardware or jeweled embellishments, these on-the-go “slippers” were back and better than ever.

I incorporated some of my favorite summer trends into one look by pairing an all-over palm tree print crop top with a high-waisted mesh skirt from Daisy Street. Finishing off the ensemble with mirrored sunnies from Quay Australia and stark white mules from Forever 21, this weekend pool party look was the perfect contrast against the Beverly Hills Hotel backdrop.

Bid adieu to those warm summer nights, post-swim tousled waves, and beach bum lifestyle – fall is upon us now! Although, the current temperature in Los Angeles states differently; I live in a state called Tropicali.
